Transformed
We were told that we would receive a 4 day/3 night trip to NYC with makeovers and a shopping spree. What we were not told was that we would rediscover just how amazing and valuable our friendship with one another is. We spent moments together that literally brought tears to our eyes and moments that made us run to the bathroom to avoid urinating on ourselves from extreme laughter. I got to watch my best friend go from what I have always thought to be an attractive woman to a beaming, head turning, hot, redhead. I tried to purposely avoid looking at her until the entire makeover had been done because I was more excited to see her transformation than mine. I was blown away with the beauty that radiated from her.
Once my makeover was complete and I looked in the mirror, I hardly recognized myself. I was beautiful. I have often felt beautiful on the inside, but now, my exterior matched my interior. At this point, I realized I deserved this and it was not selfish to take care of myself in this way. I felt amazing. I was transformed.
I was afraid that once we got home, I would revert to my black velour pants and maternity underwear that Amber has begged me to toss out for years. However, I have applied make up everyday since returning and have only wore the velour pants to sleep in. Even though Amber threw my favorite underwear in the trash, I don't think I would wear them anyway. I have purchased pretty panties, romantic ruffles, wrap dresses, and shoes with heels. All this because I was transformed by a 4 day getaway with the most amazing woman that I know.
Amber put together a slide show of some of our photos and video clips. It is only a small glimpse of the amazing time we shared together.
Amber, I love you more and more everyday. Thank you for helping me rediscover that my exterior is just as beautiful as my interior. You look breathtaking and your butt is amazing in a pair of Sabrina jeans from the Buckle! B/F/F/&E Love, Sheba

Family Fun
John is taking a new job on June 1st and we had a week in between jobs, so we decided we needed a vacation BADLY. I tried my hardest to get off work Sunday night, but no luck, so we gave up on a beach vacation and planned some mini trips close by. We first took the boys to Carribean Cove indoor water park in Indianapolis and to the Children's museum there as well. It was so much fun! Of course the boys hated the car ride, but the moment we arrived to the room, trunks were on and they were ready to go.
There was so much to choose from at the water park, they just ran from one thing to another in pure excitement. It was the first time in forever that I can say a whole tear free hour would occur. No hitting, nothing. I was in heaven. I had to be the one to splash around in the water, John somehow got the lazy river duty, go figure!
After the first visit to the water park, the boys noticed the small putting green and chose it over the water for the hour before closing, works for me! So, I went to relax in the hot tub, while the boys all played golf. Maybe 10 minutes went by before I was joined by 2 small children. It was a nice 10 minutes though!
After a much needed day of rest at home in our beds, we took the kids to Holiday World. That was probably the best trip we have had in a long time! After they got over the initial blow of being too short for the "big" rides (Chase was 1 inch too short) all was well. There was so much for kids to do and they would fixate on one ride and ride over and over and over again. We had to explain that there were lots of cool rides there. I got stuck with anything that went in a circular motion thanks to John's motion sickness from circular rides. My back did not like that idea but that meant he got the much bigger, much scarier rides and he gets all future roller coasters! The boys were not afraid of a single ride, unlike their Mommy!
We are finishing our vacation this evening with dinner and the Disney movie, Up. If times like these could just last forever!

One of the most delightful things about a garden is the anticipation it provides.
I decided I would start some of the plants indoors and than transplant them once the threat of frost has passed. Since I have never done such a thing, and I have a brown/black thumb, I wasn't sure how this would go. I figured if I could just get something, anything to grow, I would have been successful.
It has only been about 2 weeks since starting the first group of plants and not even a week for the second group. The results have been so rewarding so far. I can't believe how the little seeds that I planted with some dirt, water, and lots of prayers are already thriving so well.
The photos are out of order since photobucket has been giving me issues, but I have waited weeks to post this, so I am going to roll with it!
This has been very exciting for the boys and I, even John is excited each day to see how the plants have done!
I hope to have a bunch of yummy vegetables to share with everyone before too long!

Blogging the Clogging
There were two people in the beginners class, me and a much older lady (maybe late 60's early 70s) that had dance experience. I later found out she is a former Rockette! Way to make me feel inadequate, LOL! No wonder I felt like I wasn't getting it like the other one!
My class is 45 minutes long and then at the end, the more advance people show up and they stay and dance another 2 hours or so. I am allowed to stay and watch and/or participate as much as I want, but I did not know this ahead of time. So, I called mom (she was watching the boys) to see if I could stay and have her watch the boys longer. She told me that Cole was lethargic with a temp of 102.5, so I was sad, I had to leave. Next week, I have to pick up my friend Amber at the airport, so again, I will not get to stay, but as fun as it was, cloggin cannot top the fun that Amber brings!
There is another beginners class on Tuesdays that I wanted to sign up for, but it was closed, so she told me I could just show up and not even register and that way I will be in the $80 class for free! AWESOME! The class is through our public school system as a continuing adult education class. She said don't bother registering, just come so you don't have to pay. That class is 2 hours, but does not have the experienced people to follow.
There was one chick there, that just started 2 classes ago (16 weeks) and she could do all the stuff the others could, so I am hopeful and excited. Here is a you tube video of mostly what I learned tonight and then I will show you what the advanced class was doing! LOL! She actually taught us a lot I thought for beginners which is nice. Here is what I learned most of all tonight:
Here is my actual class dancing (the lady in yellow is my instructor, the one in red has only been dancing 16 weeks, and the one in white is 3 years): Give me a few weeks, and I will add my own video!
